If students haven't bought their books for this semester yet, then two campus groups say they have a price to pick with them. Barbara Franklin belongs to a group of two. Franklin, U.S. Secretary of Commerce, is one of two women in President Bush's Cabinet. Emma Cable may not be as recognized as many University athletes, but the athletes couldn't go on without her. Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority does not officially exist at Penn State, but Jen Devery knows the sisterhood will always remain intact. While students were out of State College during the break, some people argued that they should be left out of the borough's proposed fair housing ordinance. Teachers are used to asking difficult questions. On Jan. 5, State College teachers had to answer one. Judy Kepler graduated from high school in 1931. More than 48 years later, she sat in a classroom for the first time with students half her age. After two years as president of the University Board of Trustees, Marian U. The men's gymnastics team went through this weekend's meet at the West Point Open on a roller coaster ride that ended with a fourth-place finish out of 14 teams. The Icers must have been good all year because Santa brought them four more wins over the holiday break. The men's swimming and diving team hasn't lost a stride. After a six-week layoff from competition and a gruelling "vacation" in sunny Florida, the women's swimming team picked up right where it left off in the fall with a gutsy 162-136 victory on Saturday over Big Ten foe Ohio State.
