With abortion accessibility teetering in the balance of today's expected U.S. Supreme Court ruling on a Pennsylvania case, those on both sides of the issue sense a political struggle in the coming months. In an effort to reach out to people with disabilities, the University has released an updated wheelchair-access map. But the map is drawing fire from critics who say it contains errors and could be motivated by public relations concerns. African-American and Latino University students will continue to "black-out" all McDonald's restaurants in the State College area indefinitely.
Some of Penn State's former football champions roared back to town this weekend to hit the links and have some fun. A routine play in a pick-up basketball game last Sunday claimed Carla Coleman, the Lady Lion basketball team's lone returning starter, for the 1992-93 season. The men's basketball team plays its first season in the Big Ten this year. In a conference where it is tough to win on the road, Penn State may find that out the hard way.
