The presidential campaign comes to Pennsylvania this week and next, and candidates will be popping up all over the area.
-- President Bush will speak to students at 12:15 this afternoon at Dieruff High School in Allentown.
Bush is scheduled to arrive at the Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton Airport at 11:15 this morning and depart for Pease Air National Guard Base in Portsmouth, N.H., at 12:50 this afternoon.
No information was available from the White House media office on what Bush will speak about.
-- Former California Gov. Jerry Brown and former U.S. Sen. Eugene McCarthy will be at Penn State today. Both speeches are sponsored by Student 1st Step.
Brown will speak at 5 today from the steps of Old Main. In case of bad weather, Brown will speak in the HUB Fishbowl. McCarthy will speak at 7 tonight in the HUB Fishbowl.
McCarthy is a write-in candidate for the Democratic nomination for president.
-- Hillary Clinton will speak at 12:15 Friday, April 24, on the steps of Old Main. The College Democrats will sponsor her visit.
Hillary Clinton is a lawyer and also the wife of Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton, a candidate for the Democratic nomination for president.
Hillary Clinton's father and brother are Penn State alumni, so it was easy to convince her to come, said College Democrats President Todd Lippincott.
Due to Gov. Clinton's illness, Hillary Clinton is drumming up support for him in Pennsylvania, Lippincott said.
