Holding signs that read, "Pro-life your name's a lie, you don't care if womyn die," about 20 pro-choice advocates walked onto Willard Building's steps, fell down and remained silent amid an arguing crowd.
 
Some students may now have to provide their own reading material when they use the bathroom, since hanging house newsletters inside the stalls violates University policy.
 
Despite cutbacks in the University's program, recycling in Centre County has taken a tremendous leap upward.
 
The second Mexican restaurant to open in State College in a week rolls out the welcome mat today, but managers shrug off the notion of increased competition.
 
More than 30 students carrying protest signs and chanting slogans greeted Gov. Robert P. Casey Friday at the University's Altoona Campus.
 
The song "If you're proud and you know it, clap your hands . . ." reflected the atmosphere on Schwab Auditorium's steps Friday afternoon when lesbian, gay and bisexual people and their supporters gathered for the Pride Week rally.

SPORTS
 
The men's tennis team dropped a pair of home matches this weekend, once again failing to pick up its first Big Ten win.
 
So far, the Big Ten has not been kind to the men's tennis team.
 
There were individual standouts such as Alicia Porro, there were combined efforts in the relays, and there was a team effort which left Coach Teri Jordan grinning like the Cheshire Cat.
 
It must have been nagging them a little bit. It's all they talked about afterwards.
 
With a 5-39 lifetime mark against Rutgers, it was safe to assume that the Lions were jinxed whenever these two teams met. After 10 consecutive defeats, however, Penn State turned it around on Saturday when, after blowing a four-goal lead, midfielder Scott Bailer scored with 3:48 left and the 11th-ranked Lions remained undefeated with an 11-10 win.
 
In his senior year, Jamie Morse made the rare transition from being a goalie to an attackman for the men's lacrosse team.
 
For the women's gymnastics team, Saturday's NCAA Northeast Regional Championship was decided long before the meet even started -- while the morning dew still lingered on the trees.
 
The search for Rollie Massimino's replacement continued through the weekend and Villanova Athletic Director Ted Aceto would like to name a new head coach as early as tomorrow.
 
On another night, Allison Barber may have fallen off the balance beam.
 
One-tenth of one point. Not much, but enough to keep the men's gymnastics team alive and running.
 
Susan Robinson may soon have to buy a larger shelf in the near future just to house all of her awards.
 
The weekend was over before it had even begun.
