Police Log

  • Criminal Mischief: Someone reported that a lock was missing from a video machine in the HUB basement video room, University police said.

    An investigation revealed that two other video machines were also tampered with.

    It is unknown if anything was taken.

  • Theft: A stereo/cassette player, speakers and amplifier were taken from the dashboard of a parked Ryder loaner truck at Paul and Tony's Stereo, 317 Benner Pike, sometime between last Thursday and Tuesday, State College Bureau of Police Services said.

    The equipment is worth $1,264.

  • Theft: Pamela Boyer of 255 E. Beaver Ave. reported that a Pioneer stereo/cassette player was taken from her car while it was parked at her residence Tuesday night, State College Bureau of Police Services said.

    The passenger window was broken and the stereo was pried from the dashboard, police said.

    The stereo is worth $300.

  • Theft: Thomas Mollo of 602 E. Foster Ave. reported that his charcoal gas grill was taken from his backyard overnight between Monday and Tuesday, State College police said.

    The grill is worth $250.

  • Theft: Susan Eisenreich of 317 Hoyt reported that her 35mm Canon camera was taken from a kitchen counter during a party Friday night at 636 E. College Ave., State College police said.

    The camera is worth $180.

  • Theft: Francis Jacketti of 668 E. Prospect Ave. reported that his wool overcoat was taken Saturday from the back of a chair at the Lion's Den, 118 S. Garner St., State College police said.

    The coat is worth $130.

  • Theft: University employee Glenna Giannone reported that someone removed an emblem from her vehicle and attempted to remove a second emblem while the vehicle was parked in Parking Lot Red H, University Police Services said.

    The value of the emblem is unknown.

  • Theft: Heidi Maier of 41 Thompson reported that someone removed the front license plate from her vehicle while it was parked in Parking Lot 80 sometime between Sunday and Tuesday afternoon, University police said.
