The right choice
Sometime last semester I talked Rob Kampia into running for Undergraduate Student Government president. It wasn't his obnoxiously amusing Collegian columns or his impressive 3.8 grade point average that prompted me. Rather, it was his genuine interest in tuition hikes, unrelated occupancy laws, recycling and his many questions about how to address these problems that made me encourage him. USG is powerless unless its leadership stands up to voice the students' concerns. USG can accomplish nothing, unless the right people get into office. The right people are hard working, dedicated, committed and not afraid to stand up for what they believe is in the best interest of the students. The right people are Rob Kampia and Beth Schneck. Although you may not agree with their position on every issue, you must agree that if anyone can change things at the University, it is Rob Kampia and Beth Schneck. They will be the strongest advocates for the students. They will speak up to the administration, Board of Trustees and legislators to see that the needs of the students are adequately addressed. I am a strong believer in student empowerment. I am a strong believer in Rob Kampia and Beth Schneck.
