After reading Adriane Hipp's column, "'K-Mart sucks' reflects generational standard gone by," I have concluded the following: it is because of cheap misers like yourself that beautiful stores such as Macy's are dying. If you think for one minute that "economic snobbery" is a thing of the 1980s, guess again! If I work my butt off all week to use my paycheck to buy new clothes, thank you very much, I don't need to buy clothes so obviously "K-Mart" that I'll feel as though someone stamped "discount house" on my forehead every time I wear them.

Think about this: next time you go to look for a gown for a formal or other dressy affair, and you can't find one wherever it is that you shop, and you're growing tired of endlessly pushing your cart in what seems to be a hopeless search, remember that nice things are found in nice stores. In order to have nice stores, they must be patronized from time to time in order to keep them alive.

As far as I'm concerned, K-Mart still sucks and should be avoided at all costs. So, put that in your cart and push it!
