Become an educator

At first glance, it may seem that the students at Penn State live in harmony, but look a little closer and you will notice a great deal of intolerance which surfaces in the forms of homophobia, racism, and sexism, among others.

It is obvious that the only way to improve the relations among Penn State students is through education; the Penn State community must become more aware and knowledgable of diversity issues. For this purpose Project Growth has been established. Project Growth allows an opportunity for University members to discuss their feelings openly about diversity issues through a wide variety of programs ranging from "Interracial realtionships" and "Jamming with the Earthtones and Passport: A Celebration of Music and Culture" to free showings of the movies "Jungle Fever" and "Glory."

Your opportunity to be "part of the solution" is right now! Project Growth is presently recruiting for the 1992 Fall Semester. Applications are available at the Boucke information desk and you can learn more at an informational meeting in the HUB Fishbowl on March 24 at 7:00 p.m. Let's talk about diversity together. Apply to join Project Growth today!
