Letter to the Editor
Consider the results
Rob Morse, indubitably, the intentions of your March 18 letter to the editor titled "Israel is a friend" were earnest; however, there are a few poignant trifles, so to speak, I wish to add to your blindfolded ascertainments. For almost a century, the interest of Israel (formerly Palestine) and the Jewish peoples, via the policy of Zionism, has been to repossess the homeland, God's homeland, and force out, or "transfer," the indigenous inhabitants, i.e. to establish a Palestine without Palestinians. Recently, this religious endeavor has been further buttressed by the installment of inexpensive, housing on the West Bank and Gaza strip, with the financial messiah being, of course, the Israeli government, and as the waves of impoverished, immigrating Jews come forth and usurp the land, a religious and cultural tension is created, ineluctably forcing the Arabs to relocate. On the other hand, however, the United States does fund Israel, and, essentially, by giving them the ten billion dollars in loan guarantees, not only do we fund their Zionist policies, but furthermore, fortify the cultural and territorial pogrom of the indigenous Arab folk. A "Jew is a Jew and we'll take them all" is a profound shibboleth indeed, dearest Robert, but you are forgetful of the implications: an Arab is an Arab, so kick him out.
