The Collegian editorial opinion of March 16, titled "Combined Efforts: PSU should combine lobbying efforts with other schools" is absolutely and blatantly inaccurate. The editorial calls on the Undergraduate Student Government to form an alliance of Pennsylvania state and state-related universities in order to lobby more effectively.

The USG has formed the Alliance of Pennsylvania Student Governments including Penn State, University of Pittsburgh, Temple University, Lincoln University and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, as chancellor of the State System for Higher Education Schools. We held our first meeting on Feb. 15, 1992, at Penn State. We agreed to meet again at Lincoln on March 28. We discussed tuition increases, grass-roots lobbying, the open budget issue and House Bill 1075, fifth year PHEAA legislation and campus safety legislation. We also made a preliminary agreement to hold a rally in the Rotunda of the Capitol Building, most likely on April 6, 1992, with the idea of busing students from our campuses.

Amazingly, the Collegian wrote two front page stories on the APSG and students lobbying on March 4, 1992. Apparently, the Collegian "forgot" that they wrote two front page stories on the fact that USG already formed an Alliance of Pennsylvania Student Governments for lobbying purposes when they wrote their editorial.

We would like to see a correction. Since this is not the first time that the Collegian has "forgot" articles already printed when writing editorials about the Stewart/Werber USG, we ask that in the future, they find their memory.
