  • Young girl allegedly assaulted by man: Christopher Prisk, 21, of 918 Old Boalsburg Road, remains in Centre County Prison on $10,000 bail on charges of endangering the welfare of children, recklessly endangering another and possessing an instrument of crime.

According to court records, Prisk allegedly struck the 3-year-old victim on the head, shoulders and chest with a paint stirrer wrapped in duct tape. The incident took place Feb. 24 at 901 West Aaron Drive.

Prisk and the girl's mother, Karen Schoen, contend there was never any beating, said Sgt. Stacey Spicer of the Ferguson Township Police. Schoen and Prisk are dating, Spicer said.

Police were called to the scene by a neighbor who heard yelling and screaming from inside the house. The child was found with cuts, abrasions and bruises, and was trembling and unable to stand up, according to court records.

Prisk was arrested a half-hour later after a witness was found, Spicer said.
