Woman injured after car hits light poles: Dawnyelle Foster, 24, of 1229 S. Allen St., was injured yesterday morning after her car hit two light poles on East Beaver Avenue, State College Bureau of Police Services said.
Foster told police she was traveling east in the right lane when her car drifted into the left lane and then hit the light poles. She broke facial bones and is being charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.
Foster was taken to Centre Community Hospital where she was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Youth arrested for firing gun: A 13-year-old boy was arrested Monday by State College police for reckless endangerment after the youth fired nine .22 caliber bullets into two homes at about midnight last Thursday, according to a news release.
The shots were fired into the homes located at 170 Fairlawn Ave. and 1218 Houserville Road according to a news release. No injuries were reported.

Burglary: Odete Faria-Samtos of 500 Stoney Lane reported that her house was broken into and $6,000 to $7,000 in cash was taken between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, State College police said. Faria-Samtos told police that in addition to the cash, antique money valued at $300 was also taken from her master bedroom.
The burglar gained access by breaking the lower right window of a door, police said.

Theft: Jonathan Paul of 601 Pinchot reported that his bike and bike lock were stolen between 3 p.m Monday and 1 a.m. Tuesday from the bike rack in front of Pinchot Hall, University Police Services said.
The bike and lock are worth $350.

Theft: An employee from Electronics Unlimited, 459 E. Calder Way reported yesterday that a State College man who dropped off his television for repair last September 17 has not paid for repairs or returned the television loaned to him, State College police said.
Electronics Unlimited has sent the man several notices, including a registered letter, to return the television but he has not responded, police said.
The television and repairs are worth about $320.

Theft: Joseph Pascuzzi of Tau Epsilon Phi fraternity, 328 E. Foster Ave., reported that about 20 compact discs were taken from a first-floor room of the fraternity between 1 and 1:30 Sunday morning, State College police said.
The compact discs are worth about $312.
