One health program in Centre County is offering food assistance to local women -- including students.
 
The State College Borough municipal intern program gives students an opportunity to get hands-on experience in local government while earning independent study credits in their major.
 
There is a lot more to adoption than carrying a baby and handing it over to adoptive parents when the child is born.
 
It keeps growing and growing.
 
After a decision by the U.S. Senate to increase the amount of money dispensed by federal Pell Grants, paying college tuition may become easier for students like Ron Calhoun.
 
Penn State is not alone when it comes to universities allegedly overcharging federal funds and disagreeing with the government about how much they owe.
 
 
SPORTS
 
The top four men's and the top four women's schools in the Allegheny Ski Conference traveled to Silver Creek, W.Va. last weekend to compete in the Mid-Atlantic Region 5 Championships.
 
It's time to sit back and celebrate some good times with Freddie Barnes, Monroe Brown and Dave Degitz -- the senior class that has generated the program's vast turnaround over the last four years.
 
Maybe this was what it was like 100 years ago when Dr. James Naismith invented the game of basketball.
 
That playoff time of year is here again. For the ice hockey team, that means the American Collegiate Hockey Association National Championships. And for the first time in Icer history, that tournament is at Penn State.
 
A stranger will be sitting on the bench when the women's basketball team (18-6) face Holy Cross (14-11) tonight in Worcester.

If science and math are too routine for you, there are always pottery, drawing, weaving, quilting and tie-dying. But you will not get any credit or grades for these classes --they are some of the many classes offered at the HUB Craft Center this semester.
