Pot won't fry brain

The Penn State National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws strongly objects to Jay Hauser's column on Dan Quayle. Mr. Hauser claims we should be frightened of having Quayle, an alleged former marijuana smoker, in the White House. Obviously, our legislators are as paranoid about pot. Judge Clarence Thomas, recently confirmed to the Supreme Court, admits past marijuana use. The legislators who confirmed Thomas realized that his past pot smoking has not fried his brain, or in any way made him less competent to sit on the Supreme Court. Similarly, Vice President Quayle's past alleged pot smoking is no reason to doubt his competency.
