University vending machines vandalized

Three University vending machines were broken into and one was damaged between Jan. 31 and yesterday, University Police Services said.

George McCormick, manager of Vending Snack Bars, reported that a machine in Boucke Building was pried open between Jan. 31 and Saturday. An undetermined amount of soda and $10 in cash were stolen, police said.

McCormick also reported that a vending machine in the Arts II Building was pried open between Jan. 31 and Monday. An unknown amount of soda and $100 in cash were stolen, police said.

Another machine in Curtin Hall was knocked over between Jan. 31 and Monday, McCormick reported. Damage to the machine is estimated at $25.

Annette Rice, an accounting clerk of Vending Services, reported that a vending machine in the Business Administration Building was pried open overnight between Monday and yesterday, police said.

A dollar bill stacker with an unknown amount was taken, police said. It is not known if any products were removed.
