End racism

In reference to the opinion column by Chino Wilson on Jan. 28, I am appalled by the fact that the Collegian, "a respected college newspaper," would print such an encouragement of violence. If such a column, even one such as ridiculously written as his, was penned by a "white" person, every black person would come screaming "racism" from the woodwork.

Wilson writes with anger saturating his words. He speaks of incidents that are agreeably tragic, but places the blame on those involved because they are white. His distorted view of the City College tragedy in New York insinuates that the police are responsible for the deaths of his nine "brothers and sisters." How does Chino know that those "white" officers figured, "It's only niggers. Let 'em kill each other," unless he was stereotyping them because they were white? Isn't that in itself racism, Chino? Or is it mind reading?

Past atrocities involving genocide should not be blamed on the color of the perpetrator's skin, but rather on the deranged ideologies involved. Wilson spoke of the slave trade. Does he know that rich black Africans were also making money by selling out their own people? Reading some slave narratives can prove that there were wealthy black families in Africa that also owned black slaves. So don't blame color, blame greed.

The origin of the AIDS virus is circumstantial and irrelevant at this point. Wilson speaks of AIDS as "a diabolical plot to exterminate black people". Assuming what Wilson says is true, then why is AIDS not specifically bumping off black Africans? Last time I checked, white people were dying from the AIDS virus as well.

Chino, you write with such hatred and anger, which ironically is contradictory to the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Everyone should be more concerned with your destructive and racist attitude, which if anything, should be sent to the cemetery.

So to all persons, whether black, white, yellow or blue, let's all unite, organize, and execute racism. No rifles are needed for that.
