The Committee for Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Equity will release the results of a six-month-long study of campus climate for gay people tomorrow afternoon, said William G. Tierney, committee chairman.
The committee distributed surveys last spring questioning a random sample of undergraduates and employees about their opinions about gay people. Committee members also studied all the University's diversity documents and interviewed various people to gauge their attitudes.
But the survey's results were held after a dispute over whether the surveys needed to go through the Human Subjects Committee, which must approve all research involving people.
The report will be presented in its entirety, Tierney said.
Part of the report that was released late last year found that about 45 percent of faculty and staff and 50 percent of students believe homosexuality is immoral.
