Slick roadways in the past two days contributed to three accidents resulting in injuries, State College Bureau of Police Services said.

-- William H. Shea, 17, 712 W. Hamilton Ave., is in satisfactory condition at the Geisinger Medical Center after his car struck a car driven by Matthew Gerald Smith Jr., 20, of 63 Green Ridge Circle Sunday night.

Smith's car had been traveling southbound on Houserville Road when the accident occurred, State College police said.

Smith was treated and released from Centre Community Hospital.

-- Carol L. Marks of Hawk Run was treated at Centre Community Hospital for head wounds after her car rolled over.

Marks was traveling on state Route 322 when her car began to slide and rolled over onto its left side. Marks had to crawl out of the vehicle through the back hatch, police said.

-- Robin M. Dietrich, 29, of Mill Hall received stitches in her mouth yesterday after her car struck another car driven by Yoon Guen Kim, 32, 723A Whitehall Road.

Kim was traveling eastbound on snow-covered Waupelani Drive when she lost control of her car and slid into the westbound lane and was struck by Dietrich's car, police said.

Dietrich and her passenger, Daria Pivirotto, 28, were both treated and released at Centre Community Hospital.
