Student tampers with records: A student was found allegedly forging and altering his student records at Shields Building yesterday morning, University Police Services said. Police said the student allegedly tampered with the records in an attempt to receive financial aid. No further information is available due to a continuing investigation.

Woman injured after hitting truck: A car driven by Jennifer Mina, 21, of 132 S. Allen St. hit a tractor-trailor truck while traveling west on Route 322 yesterday, State College Bureau of Police Services said. Mina struck the truck, driven by Robert Shilling, 47, of Centre Hall while he attempted to pull out onto the highway. Shilling told police he was unable to get out of Mina's way before her vehicle struck him, police said. Mina was taken to Centre Community Hospital where she was treated for bruises and abrasions to her face and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Burglary: State College police responded to an alarm at Rapid Transit Sportswear, 115 S. Allen St. yesterday morning. When they arrived at the scene, the police found the window of an inside door broken. It has not yet been determined if anything is missing.

Criminal Mischief: Stan Aungst of 218 Westerly Parkway reported that his car's windshield was shot with a BB gun Sunday, State College police said. No damage estimate has been made, and there are no suspects at this time.

Trespass/Simple Assault: A Leete Hall resident assistant was knocked to the floor yesterday by an unidentified man, University police said. The RA was shoved after she discovered the man in the women's bathroom. He fled before police arrived.

Theft: Carl Bauer of Forest Hills reported that 40 compact discs and other merchandise worth about $830 were taken from his unlocked car Sunday while it was parked at 224 S. Burrowes St., State College police said. Items taken include a camera, binoculars, a 2-inch television and a radar detector.

Theft: Krista Curran of 105 Stone reported that her bicycle was taken from a bike rack outside of Snyder Hall yesterday, University police said. The bike was chained and padlocked. The value of the bike is estimated at $330.
