Police Log

  • Cable-TV worker breaks his leg: Pro Cable employee Robert Brown of Philipsburg suffered a broken leg after the telephone pole he was working on near Eastview Terrace snapped and fell over at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday, University Police Services said.

    Brown was taken to Centre Community Hospital where he was held overnight for observation, police said.

  • Fire: University police discovered a pile of leaves on fire on the east side of Computer Building at 9:11 p.m. Tuesday, University police said.

    Police officers responded with the University's fire van and extinguished the fire.

    The grass on the side of the building was damaged, police said.

  • Theft: Leonard White of the Office of Physical Plant reported that someone took two lighted exit signs and an exit sign panel from the third and fourth floors of Beam Building between 1:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday, University police said.

    Total value of the signs and panel is $260.
