Police Log

  • Hit and Run: Adam Silverstein of 1000 W. Aaron Drive reported that a vehicle operated by an unknown person struck his car while it was parked in Lot 44 between 9:10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday, University Police Services said.

    Damage is estimated at $300, including a dent in the front fender behind the wheel well, police said.

  • Theft: Abramson Auto Wreckage, 2268 E. College Ave., reported that sometime between Tuesday night and yesterday morning someone took two boxes of tools from their business, State College Bureau of Police Services said. A wooden panel had been broken out of the garage door.

    The boxes and the hand tools are worth $1,500, police said.

  • Theft: University Police Services Officer Stephen Shelow and Cadet Michael Paul apprehended two persons in possession of stolen property at 2:30 a.m. yesterday in Lot Green D, University police said.

    The men were carrying a piece of plywood from a construction site near the Pavilion Theater and a pack of plastic cups, napkins and four rolls of toilet paper taken from Hi-Way Pizza, 340 E. College Ave., police said. Charges are pending.

  • Theft: Pauline Ponish of 10 A Beaver Hall reported that a hearing impaired decoder of unknown value was taken from the TV lounge in Beaver Hall between 9 a.m. and 3:35 p.m. Tuesday, University police said.

  • Theft: Nicole Melnick of 139 McElwain reported that someone took clothing from her dorm room sometime before Sept. 4, University police said. The items taken were a wool skirt and a rayon blouse of unknown value, police said.

  • Theft: Alpha Kappa Lamda fraternity, 339 Fraternity Row, reported that someone took a 19-or 20-inch color television before 7 a.m. Tuesday morning, State College police said. The television was ripped from brackets that held it, police said.

    No damage estimate was available.
