Finding a parking space in downtown State College may be easier by the end of the year, as construction on the McAllister Street parking garage begins next month.

The University Board of Trustees recently approved plans to construct a multi-million dollar parking garage adjacent to Eisenhower Auditorium to help relieve the campus parking problem.
 
A new building to house the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management will not only incorporate the latest technology in the hospitality industry but will also be a lab for energy conservation studies.
 
A State College borough task force gave a report last night encouraging the establishment of a downtown improvement district to help promote businesses.

The men's basketball team will get at least one transfer from Vanderbilt, with another possibly on the way.
 
Remaining true to an unwritten policy, Penn State did not respond to USA Today's survey of graduation rates for college basketball players.
