Women would comprise about half of the membership of Pennsylvania's boards and commissions under a bill that a local legislator will soon reintroduce into the state House of Representatives.
 
The ninth annual Miss Black Penn State Pageant on Tuesday night in Schwab Auditorium symbolized an exhibition and celebration of black women and not a competition among them, said some members of the sponsoring black fraternity.
 
As finals week approaches and stress increases, University students are searching for ways to combat mounting anxiety.
 
-- Irving T. Stevenson, 24, of 727 Southgate Drive, waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of theft, receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of an automobile, a spokeswoman for the Centre County court administrator's office said.
 
The Pakistan Forum's new executive officers intend to break down stereotypes by increasing the exposure given to Muslim culture. The officers were elected Saturday in Eisenhower Chapel.

Team orientation is not a standard aspect of individual sports like tennis. Yet, the women's tennis team has developed team orientation into a strength with the help of senior Cathy Kissell.
