Police Log

  • Criminal Mischief: David Guyer of 134 Hamilton Ave. reported he heard the sound of glass breaking at about 4:30 yesterday morning in Parking Lot Green B, south of the Music Building, University Police Services said.

    Police found the windshield on the driver's side of a car had been smashed by a piece of audio video equipment. The car is owned by Lois Walters of Warriors Mark.

    Police said the damage to the car was $400.

  • Criminal Mischief: Maureen Volz of 215 Johnston Commons reported that a window in Dining Hall C had been broken between 11 Tuesday night and 7 yesterday morning, University police said.

    Police said damage was estimated at $250.

  • Criminal Mischief: A University police officer reported a broken window at the park-and-ride bus station on University Drive. The incident occurred between Wednesday night and yesterday morning, University police said.

    Police said the damage was estimated at $150.

  • Theft: Ted Luniewski of 340 E. Beaver reported that a bicycle owned by Isidore Zarsadias of 112 S. Pugh St. was taken from a bicycle rack at the Intramural Building between 9 and 11:30 Wednesday night, University police said.

    Police said the bicycle was worth $500.

  • Theft: Daniel Fasold of 636 E. College Ave. reported that his $350 pink mountain bike was taken Wednesday between noon and 1:30 p.m. from outside his residence, State College Bureau of Police Services said. The bicycle was locked to a rack, police said.

  • Theft: Pi Kappa Phi fraternity, 409 E. Fairmount Ave., reported that a microwave and toaster were taken from the fraternity house early Wednesday morning, State College police said. The items are worth $325, police said.

  • Theft/Cruelty to Animals: Members of Alpha Kappa Lambda, 339 Fraternity Row, reported at 8:40 yesterday morning that a sheep was left on their front lawn, University police said.

    Police said the sheep was taken from the Beef and Sheep Center on Orchard Road.
