Local non-profit organizations are benefiting from a fund-raising program sponsored by Riverside/BiLo Markets.
 
You may have noticed that many drinking fountains around campus are out of order.
 
How important is it for students to know about state politics?
 
East Halls residents can brag with confidence about living in the largest dorm complex in the Western world.
 
Students selected representatives for area government in yesterday's Association of Residence Hall Students elections. Lynn Rakvin, Alice Chan, Kyle Kemmer, Sherri Shields, Joe Milazzo and Chris Markham were named area presidents. The names of the other area executives and representatives follows:
 
After breaking free from a circle of dancing and cheering supporters, Mark Stewart and Merryl Werber made it to the stage late last night to accept the offices of Undergraduate Student Government president and vice president.
 
He sat comfortably in blue jeans and a black leather jacket in the back room of a local bar. His handsome face lit up when he mentioned his daughter and the woman he plans to marry. He said he is a freelance artist out of Pittsburgh and he seemed like your average good guy -- friendly, nice smile, a family man.
 
 
SPORTS
 
With the NCAA Championships at hand in Austin, Texas, the men's swimming and diving team is right where it wants to be.
 
In what was characterized as a must-win game, the men's lacrosse team lost to nationally ranked Towson State yesterday afternoon, 16-8, in Towson, Md.
 
"If you are wise enough to forget the last game, you can put a smile on your face, because when they write the book on Lady Lion basketball, this will be the one they write about." --Women's basketball coach Rene Portland.
 
The men's volleyball team earned its second sweep in four days by handily defeating No. 16 Rutgers-Newark last night in Newark, N.J. The scores were 15-12, 15-5, 15-10.
 
The men's tennis team kept the momentum from Sunday's upset of William & Mary going to beat Duquesne, 9-0, yesterday at the Penn State Tennis Club.
