Police Log

  • Burglary: A facsimile machine and videocassette recorder, valued at $1,060, were taken Wednesday night or yesterday morning from the Burger King at 420 E. College Ave., State College Bureau of Police Services said.

    The restaurant was entered through a side door and there was no sign of forced entry, police said.

  • Burglary/Theft: Sloan Wilson, 350 Simmons, reported that her portable compact disc player was taken from her room, University Police Services said. The player was valued at $450, police said.

    The theft occurred between 7:15 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

  • Criminal Mischief: Nancy Swank, 10 Curtin, reported that someone caused $300 in damages to the seventh floor of Geary Hall by cutting window screens and pouring water on the floor, University police said.

    The incident occurred between noon Wednesday and 8:50 a.m. yesterday, police said.

  • Theft: Keith Anderson, 110 E. Foster Ave., reported that $4,000 worth of sterling silver jewlery was taken from his car between March 2 and Tuesday night, State College police said. The car was parked at a lot at the 100 block of East Nittany Avenue, police said.

    A rear window was broken to take the jewlery, police said.

  • Theft: Chris Merlin, 312 Stuart, reported that the seat and pedals of his bicycle were taken while the bicycle was at a rack on the east side of Hastings Hall, University police said.

    The parts were worth $100, police said.

    The theft occurred between 11 p.m. Monday and noon Wednesday, police said.
