Lemont man injured in car accident: A Lemont man was injured when his car hit another car from the rear at 2:10 Saturday morning on Route 26 near Nittany Mall, State College Bureau of Police Services said.
Police said Ronald Knepp sustained head injuries after his car left the roadway and overturned. The second car, driven by Thomas Earhart of Philipsburg, also left the roadway and overturned, police said. Earhart sustained minor injuries, police said.
Knepp was transported to Centre Community Hospital, treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.

High speed chase ends with arrest: A Rebersburg man was arrested Thursday night after a high-speed chase on Route 192 eastbound, Rockview State Police said.
Police said Carl Eugene Borden was detected traveling at a high rate of speed and a chase ensued. Borden lost control of the truck and drove into a field, police said.
After the arrest, it was discovered that the truck had been stolen from Michelle Spicer of Bellefonte earlier in the day. Borden was charged with driving at an unsafe speed and theft, police said.

Local boys arrested for armed robbery: Five local youth were arrested late Wednesday night after they allegedly robbed two State College men at gunpoint, State College Bureau of Police Services said.
The boys, 15- to 17-years-old, allegedly used a .38-caliber handgun to rob Reinold Cornelius Jr., 34, of 1012 S. Pugh St., at the corner of Pugh Street and McCormick Avenue at about 11 p.m., police said. They escaped with Cornelius' wallet and cash, police said.
At 11:30, the boys allegedly robbed a second man, James Stofko, 20, of 359 McBath St., at the corner of South Sparks Street and West Calder Way, police said. Stofko's wallet and cash were also taken, police said.
The group left the scene in a maroon Chevrolet Celebrity, which was stopped by a State College police officer a short distance away, police said.
The gun, five knives and ammunition were found in the car and some of the cash was also recovered, police said.
The boys were placed in the Centre County Youth Center in Bellefonte and at least one boy was released to his parents, police said.
The names of the boys and the charges against them were not released by police.

Criminal Mischief: Mike Wagner, 118 Porter, reported early yesterday morning that a window was broken and a light fixture was damaged on the first floor of Beaver Hall, University police said.
Police estimate the total damage at $125.

Disorderly Conduct: Robert Wolf of Eatontown, N.J., reported that four men smashed his car's windshieldat about 1:11 a.m. Saturday night while the car was parked in the Pugh Street parking garage, State College police said.
Police said the four men were arguing before they broke the windshield.

Theft: Christian Case of 309 E. Beaver Ave. reported that his 1979 Chevrolet pickup truck was taken while parked at 231 E. Beaver Ave., State College police said.
Police said the theft occurred at 1:45 a.m. yesterday while Case was delivering a pizza to the residence. No value estimate was available.

Theft: Vincent Range of 322 Fraternity Row and Susan Kraieski of 1214 Plaza Drive reported that 57 compact discs, valued at $1,000, were taken from Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, 322 Fraternity Row, State College police said. Police said the theft occurred between 1 and 9:50 a.m. yesterday.

Theft: Deborah Shapiro of 218 Atherton reported that her leather jacket, valued at $275, was taken from Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity, 339 Fraternity Row, State College police said. Police said the theft occurred between 11 p.m. Saturday and 2 a.m. yesterday.

Theft: Eileen Pearsall, 1211 Old Boalsburg Road, reported that her Northface jacket and maroon gym bag, valued at $205, were taken from her car while it was parked in front of her residence, State College police said.
Police said the theft occurred between 12 and 9 a.m. yesterday morning.

Theft: State College authorities reported that a parking meter at 100 S. Pugh St. was broken open and an undetermined amount of money was taken, State College police said.
Police said the theft occurred between 11:40 and 12 Saturday afternoon.
There are no suspects and no estimate of damage to the meter, police said.
