Two injured in two-car accident: Two Pine Grove Mills residents were injured around 2 p.m. Saturday in a two-car accident in the northbound lane of Route 26, State College Bureau of Police Services said.
Police said a car driven by Kathleen Ruffner of Pine Grove Mills was struck in the rear by a car driven by Christopher Zayatz,329 E. Beaver Ave. Mark Ruffner and his son, Eric, were injured in the accident.
The Ruffners were transported to Centre Community Hospital, treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Theft: Robert Freed, 214 Hamilton, reported that hockey equipment worth $630 was taken from his car while it was parked at 100 W. Patterson St., State College police said.
Police said the theft occurred Sunday or Monday.
