Police investigate trailer theft: Bellefonte police are investigating the theft of a truck trailer and $50,000 worth of finished brass rods.
The 1981 trailer, worth $16,000, was taken between Thursday night and yesterday afternoon from its parking spot on Thomas Street in Bellefonte outside Cerro Metal Products, police said.
The trailer is red with four-foot side boards and "Cerro Metal" painted on the side, police said.

S.C. youth pulls knife during fight: A State College High School student threatened another student with a knife at the State College Area High School, 650 Westerly Parkway, after arguing over a female student, State College Bureau of Police Services said.
Police said two boys were fighting over the girl at about 11:05 p.m. Friday when the assault occurred. The youth fled the scene before police arrived.
Police said the incident is still under investigation.

Burglary: Josh Marks of 202 Packer reported that his speakerphone, answering machine, stereo and several compact discs were taken from his room Saturday or yesterday, University Police Services said.
The value of the items is unknown, police said, adding that the room was entered with a stolen key.

Criminal Mischief: Acacia Fraternity, 234 Locust Lane, was cited for disorderly conduct after three fluorescent light bulbs were thrown from a window at 8:30 p.m. Friday, State College police said.
Police said the bulbs landed on the sidewalk of Locust Lane and did not injure anyone.

Criminal Mischief: Residents of Highland Tower, 226 Highland Ave., reported that an exit sign was taken from their apartment building, and elevator wires were damaged on Friday or Saturday, State College police said.

Criminal Mischief: Shelly Gasper of 478 E. Beaver Ave. reported that someone bent her car's windshield wipers and license plate, and broke the car's taillights on Friday or Saturday while it was parked at her residence, State College police said.
A damage estimate was not available.
