Today the people of Penn State and State College can show their support for a peaceful solution in the gulf by wearing green ribbons. The ribbons can be picked up at the HUB. Tomorrow marks one month since the United States started bombing Baghdad, and at 1:30 in the HUB parking lot the Alternatives to War Committee is holding a Peace March and Rally.

But today you don't have to march, sing, carry banners, chant or listen. All you need to do is wear a green ribbon in any fashion you like; in the hair, around the arm, on a jacket, on your bag or as a pin.

All I'm asking is for you to show how you feel and wear one. Show your support for the troops by wearing a yellow ribbon and show your support for peace by wearing a green ribbon. I would also like you to think about something that a distressed Iraqi woman said: "This is not a game, this is about human life, it is about my life."
