The practice of making departments return funds to the central administration is not new at the University.
 
Despite the $12 million budget cut which forced the University to shorten its library and computer lab hours, students will actually have more access to University computers, Deputy Director of the University's Center for Academic Computing Jim Kerlin said.
 
The State College Borough Council did not act this week on a proposal to limit the number of houses converted into rental units.

At least it doesn't count on their record.
 
In Big Ten men's basketball, it's Northwestern. In the NBA, it's one of the expansion teams or Sacramento. In Atlantic 10 women's basketball, it's Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
 
The men's basketball team accomplished most of its objectives in last night's contest with Temple. However, it failed to achieve a very important one -- winning.
 
With 3:00 left in last night's game the Charlotte Hornets' scouts got up and left press row. The outcome was still in the balance but they had seen enough.
