Cyclist hits car, injures self: A 19-year-old bicyclist was injured Tuesday evening in an accident at the intersection of McCormick Avenue and South Pugh Street, State College Bureau of Police Services said.
Police said David Warnick of Spring Grove was crossing McCormick Avenue when a car driven by Regina Rutherford, 533 Easterly Parkway, pulled in front of his bicycle. Warnick struck the front driver's side of Rutherford's 1984 Oldsmobile, police said.
Warnick was transported to Centre Community Hospital, treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Theft: Charles Hackett of 678 Devonshire Drive reported that a gold bracelet, valued at $105, was taken from an office at Firestone Master Care Service Center, 2165 S. Atherton St., State College police said.
Police said the theft occurred between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. yesterday. There were no signs of forced entry, police said.

Theft: Employees at the Furniture Exchange, 522 E. College Ave., reported that a small section of new carpet, valued at $100, was taken from an apartment hallway at 458 E. College Ave., State College police said.
Police said the theft occurred between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. yesterday.
