Who's helping who?
How do some "pro-choice" women help other women in crisis? Last Wednesday (Jan. 30) at a gathering, they collected money so one of their members could purchase an abortion and with it freedom from responsibility and the right to choose death for a little unborn child. Will that abortion really solve all the problems that drove her to seek the abortion in the first place? Or will the abortion further damage her life with medical complications, possible infertility, emotional trauma and a feeling of being violated? Why do we never see a pro-abortionist help women carry their children to term or lend the support necessary to raise their child? Penn State Students for Life would like to announce that they have begun a babysitting program for any student who needs an extra hand caring for their child (or children) while they finish school or continue working. There are a number of students that have already begun taking advantage of this free program and we warmly invite others to do so. If you are interested in this offer or would like to volunteer to help, please contact me at 865-2191. Ms. Grow, president of the pro-abortion group on campus, and many other students accuse pro-lifers of not providing realistic answers for crisis pregnancies. Yet they state this while reaching into their pockets to pay for abortions for these same women who are hurting and in need of support. There are realistic, though sometimes sacrificial, answers. The local Crisis Pregnancy Center and Birthright organizations provide all the needed medical, psychological, pre-natal, financial and emotional help (as well as necessary clothes, diapers, etc.) -- for any mother and baby in crisis. The center also has a special program where a family provides immediate housing for women who have been abandoned by their "loved ones" who usually were pressuring them to get an abortion. This offer continues until the woman has resumed her schooling or employment and feels stable -- this offer lasts throughout pregnancy and often for many months following birth. Finally, Ms. Grow states, "we don't need to be protected from information or facts." This is unbelievable. How can she declare that students do not need to learn about how abortions are performed, what the risks are and what life-giving options are available to them? Please, everyone deserves the facts and has the right to find out about the alternatives to abortion. Don't you?
