Police said Ray, 20, remembers being jumped on from behind at about 11:45 p.m. by one man and then rolling on the ground with two men. Ray was stabbed in the stomach and arm, police said.

Police said Ray was taken to Centre Community Hospital by friends, and a hospital spokeswoman said he was treated and released.

An investigation is continuing, police said.

  • Criminal Mischief: Donald Oswalt of the Office of Physical Plant reported the word "peace" and the peace symbol were spray painted in fluorescent orange on Burrowes, Boucke and Whitmore buildings Tuesday night or yesterday morning, University Police Services said.

    Police estimated damage at $450.
