Police Log

  • Hospital reports rape on campus: A female student was allegedly raped on campus early Saturday morning, University Police Services said.

    The incident allegedly occurred in the victim's dorm and was committed by an acquaintance, police said. Police would not release the victim's name.

    A Centre Community Hospital employee reported the incident to police yesterday morning after the victim was treated, police said.

    Police are conducting an investigation.

  • Local woman allegedly raped: A 19-year-old State College woman was allegedly raped during the early hours of Sunday morning at her apartment on Atherton Street, State College Bureau of Police Services said.

    Police said the woman knew her attacker and the two had been socializing Saturday night. No weapon was used in the assault and the woman was not injured, police said.

    Police said the initial report stated alcohol was involved.

  • Burglary: An employee at Welsh Pool, Westerly Parkway, reported that someone entered the grounds and locker rooms between 10 a.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. yesterday, State College Bureau of Police Services said.

    Police estimated $200 in damage to the locker room doors.

  • Criminal Mischief: James A. Dildine, 4102 Nittany Apartments, reported that the rear window of his 1989 Isuzu was broken Saturday or Sunday, State College police said.

    The window was valued at $150. Police said the car was parked on the 100 block of South Garner Street.

  • Theft: Po Lin, 207 Snyder, reported that his Colombian coat, valued at $200, was taken from 338 E. Foster Ave. between 2 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, State College police said.

    Police said the coat was taken from the cloak room at the house.

  • Theft: Kay Boob, a housing supervisor, reported that a table was taken from the eighth floor study lounge of Ritner Hall Thursday night or Friday morning, University police said.

    The table is valued at $217, police said.
