Letter to the Editor
Picture says it all
In reference to Chino Wilson's column (Jan. 24), and while we're making generalizations let's include all of Chino Wilson's columns, one can make some comparisons to 2 Live Crew's album As Nasty As They Wanna Be. We'll call Chino's columns As Paranoid As They Wanna Be. Both should be protected under the First Amendment. No one is forced to listen to 2 Live Crew's album, nor is one forced to read Chino Wilson's column. No warning label is needed for As Paranoid as They Wanna Be because that little picture of Chino says it all. One already knows what the column is about and that at least once "We (African-Americans) will defend ourselves by any means possible, including violence (always against whites)" will appear in the column. Has this man (brother) nothing else on his mind to write about? Why not save the space in the newspaper and just refer the audience to one of his previous columns containing idle threats? I really feel sorry for you, Chino.
