NEWS
 
A federal judge is not expected to act upon the civil suit filed against 19 people -- including University President Bryce Jordan -- until August, according to an employee in the court administrator's office at U.S. District Court in Williamsport.
 
The skies over State College will not be as smoke-filled today if area residents heed warnings from the American Lung Association of Centre County during its July 5 "NonDependence Day" celebration.
 
Observatories -- including the troubled Hubble Space Telescope -- will be the focus of a University professor's presentation this afternoon.
 
The on-again, off-again question of whether Centre County's district attorney position should be designated as a full-time job will not be on the November ballot, again.
 
The University plans to make room for books and study space in Pattee Library -- by shuffling shelfloads of little-used books to an empty grocery store.
