The Penn State local chapter of the Tunisian Scientific Society (TSS) in collaboration with the Tunisian Student Association of PSU is having its third annual regional seminar on Saturday, April 7, 1990 from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m. in 215 Hammond.
The seminar's objectives are: to familiarize Tunisian students and researchers from different American and Canadian Universities with each other's work; and to present this work to those who are interested at Penn State.
This year's seminar is composed of two sessions. The morning session is devoted to technical presentations under the theme Computers in science and engineering. Dr. Harwood and Dr. Mannai of Penn State will be our distinguished speakers for this session.
The afternoon session focuses on matters relating to the Tunisian economy and the role of the Tunisian students in North America in the transfer of technology to Tunisia. The Tunisian ambassador to Washington D.C., and Dr. Robana of Alfred University, NY will be our guest speakers in the afternoon session.
The day-long seminar will end with a Ramadan dinner reception at the University Club.
