Woman dies in three-car accident on Route 322: A Hagerstown, Md. woman was killed in a three-car accident Wednesday, state police at Rockview said.
Mary Kendall, no age given, was pronounced dead at the scene by Centre County Coroner Robert Neff at 5:15 Wednesday night, police said. Her husband, D. Homer Kendall, 76, who was also in the car, received only minor injuries.
Their car, traveling west on Route 322 in Potter Township, crossed into the eastbound lane of traffic and sideswiped a tractor-trailer driven by Earl Watts, no age given, of Lewistown, police said.
The Kendall car continued in the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a car driven by Edward Lukoski, no age given, of State College. Both cars were totaled. Lukoski received only minor injuries.
Watts' tractor-trailer left the highway and rolled over several times in a pasture, coming to rest about 200 feet away from the road. The tractor-trailer was also totaled, police said, and Watts was slightly injured.

Philipsburg driver falls asleep, car crashes into a fence: A Philipsburg man was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol after a one-car accident Wednesday night, state police at Philipsburg said.
Rob Johnson, 28, RD 3 Philipsburg, was driving west on Route 322 about 2 miles north of Philipsburg at about 10:40 Wednesday night and reportedly fell asleep at the wheel, police said. His car hit a fence and a wall owned by Harry Smith of Bellefonte.
Johnson was not injured in the accident but his car was totaled, police said.

Prank call to 911 service leads to stolen barricade: A prank call to the 911 emergency line led to the discovery of a traffic barricade that was allegedly taken by a resident of a Leete Hall dorm room, University Police Services said.
At 1:16 Wednesday afternoon, someone called the 911 emergency line and hung up, police said. They traced a call to a residence in Leete Hall and found a traffic barricade in the room. The student was not cited but will be referred to the Office of Conduct.

Police looking for suspect in outdoor grabbing incident: An unknown man reportedly grabbed a female University student by the collar and pulled her to the ground in front of Mueller Building at about 3 Saturday afternoon, University police said.
After the student was forced to the ground, she struggled and the man left the scene, police said.
The suspect is described as a black male, about 5-feet 10-inches tall, weighing 175 to 180 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, a red sweatshirt and dirty white tennis shoes, police said.

Theft: A video cassette recorder and stand, valued at $250, were reported taken from Room 214 Material Research Laboratory sometime between noon Tuesday and 5 Wednesday afternoon, University police said. Police believe the room was unlocked during that time.

Theft: A sweater valued at $250 was taken along with $750 worth of clothes and other valuables, including three watches, from an apartment at 532 E. College Ave., State College Bureau of Police Services said.
The valuables belonged to Jose Munoz, police said. The door to his apartment was unlocked.
