Collision ruins pastries and damages vehicles downtown: A pastry truck collided with a car at the intersection of West College Avenue and South Buckhout Street yesterday afternoon, causing moderate damage to the vehicles and several pastries, State College Bureau of Police Services said. No one was injured.
Martha I. Tressler, 314 Puddingtown Road, was waiting to pull out of O.W. Houts driveway when she thought a truck was about to pull into the same driveway, she told police. When Tressler's car pulled out of the driveway, it was struck by the truck driven by Gary Allen Fink, R.D. 2, Port Matilda, police said.
Fink's truck was unable to stop in time, police said.

Criminal Mischief: A store window at the House of Kashmir, 130 E. Calder Alley, was kicked in around 1 yesterday morning, police said. The store owner, Saghir Ahmad, said the window was valued around $180, and no property was stolen. Police said no arrests have been made.

Theft: A $150 Columbia bicycle was stolen from Amy Ambuske at 320 E. Beaver Ave. sometime between March 14 and Tuesday, State College police said. The three-speed, red and orange bike was reported taken from the bike rack outside Ambuske's residence where it was chained, police said.
