March 22, 1990 . . . a smoke-letter day if there ever was one. Your newspaper has finally, even if belatedly, recognized the one-sidedness of its vigilante "lynch-the-smokers" mentality and decided to balance it by accepting a tobacco-related advertisement (The Daily Collegian, March 22).
"Easy rolling and slow burning JOB cigarette papers. For the best in tobacco smoking pleasure. ROLL WITH THE BEST."
May we smokers now look forward to more cigarette/pipe/tobacco/smoking materials advertisements? As a smoker I am glad you have finally realized your ostrich-like blindness toward smokers' rights and the biasedness of your anti-smoking editorial stance.
Thank you for putting your moth where the money is.
