One slightly hurt when car rams into another in Harris: One person was slightly injured when one car rammed into the back of another in Harris Township on Monday evening, State College Bureau of Police Services said.
Maryann T. Loftus, 343 First Ave., Lemont, was treated and released from Centre Community Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said. Loftus complained of back and neck pain.
Loftus was stopped to make a left turn on the 2400 block of Atherton Street when a car driven by Tina F. Martain, 806 Brookside Drive, Boalsburg, hit Loftus from behind. Martain told police she did not realize Loftus was not moving and rammed into the vehicle, police said.
Both cars were damaged.

Hammond Bldg. the scene of book thefts from 35 lockers: Textbooks worth over $1,000 and various personal items were reported taken from lockers in Hammond Building last week, University Police Services said.
Someone reportedly pried open 30 lockers in Room 304 and five lockers in Room 308 and took 35 textbooks, total value of $1,225, sometime between 9 p.m. March 21 and 8 a.m. March 22, police said. Police did not have a cost estimate for the personal items that were taken.
The room is supposed to be locked nightly at 10, but police were not sure if the room was locked last Wednesday. An investigation is continuing.

Man pulls female student to ground near Pond Lab: A female University student was reportedly pulled to the ground from behind Saturday afternoon, but she was not injured in the incident, University police said.
The student, who police would not identify, was walking on the sidewalk behind Pond Laboratory at 3 Saturday afternoon when a man in his 20s grabbed her coat collar and pulled her to the ground, police said. The man left the scene and did not assault her in any way, police said. Police are continuing to investigate.

That's a goat roaming around Days Inn; later taken to zoo: A goat roaming outside the Days Inn, 100 E. Hamilton Ave., was apprehended by State College police and transported to a petting zoo on Route 322. The name of the zoo could not be determined.
The goat went into custody quietly, police said. The goat's place of origin could not be determined.

Criminal Mischief: Someone reportedly broke into the washing machine on third floor Sproul Hall and took laundry tickets sometime between Friday and Monday, University police said. Police do not have a damage estimate or a value for the tickets. An investigation is continuing.

Criminal Mischief: A dozen ceiling tiles, valued at $75, three fluorescent light bulbs, valued at $20, and a 21-inch color television were reported taken from the hallway between Geary and Packer halls, University police said. The incident reportedly happened sometime between 5 Friday night and 8 Monday morning, police said.

Theft: A sign was taken from a Lee's Hoagie House delivery car sometime between March 24 and 25, State College police said. The sign is valued at $200.
The car, parked in the store's lot, 222 W. Beaver Ave., also sustained a dented rear fender in the incident, police said.

Theft: Emil Hayek, 340 E. Beaver Ave., reported that someone took 40 compact discs, total value of $540, from his apartment sometime on March 18, State College police said. No signs of forced entry were found.
