Two new executives assumed their places at the round table of the Association of Residence Hall Students at its Monday night meeting.
ARHS council members approved former South Halls ARHS representative Colleen McCarty as executive vice president, and former Pollock ARHS representative Mary Cooper as director of the Residence Hall Advisory Board. ARHS President Melissa Pressler and Vice President Kathleen Rickabaugh introduced the appointments for approval by the council.
In other business, Pressler announced that Ben Novak, a member of the University's Board of Trustees, offered to address the council next week about student involvement. Novak is a lawyer with the State College legal firm of Novak, Stover and McCarty.
In addition, newly elected council members met outgoing representatives in an ice-breaker exercise run by two representatives from the Office of Student Organizations and Program Development.
