Car forced to bang into United Parcel Service truck: Two cars were damaged yesterday afternoon when one car was forced to careen into the other on University Drive, State College Bureau of Police Services said.
Cynthia Yeager, 907 E. Logan Ave., Altoona, was approaching a United Parcel Service truck, which was parked on the side of the 900 block of University Drive, when another car passed her. Police said the car, which left the scene of the accident, forced Yeager into the rear of the truck.
No serious injuries were reported.

Two University employees in Henning Building scuffle: A University employee allegedly assaulted another University employee in 11 Henning Building at 10:15 Tuesday morning, University Police Services said.
The employees' names were not released, but police did say the victim suffered back injuries from a shoving incident, and was treated at Ritenour Health Center. Police are continuing to investigate.

Early evening Lot 80 crash sends one car on the tow: One car had to be towed after a two-car accident in Parking Lot 80 at 5:48 Tuesday afternoon and one of the victims was slightly injured, University police said.
Maureen R. Casey, 918 Southgate Drive, was turning into Lot 80 from Bigler Road when her car was struck on the right side by a car driven by Christa Hopple of Lewistown, police said.
Casey's car received moderate damage and had to be towed, police said. One of the women received a slight cut on the right hand, but police would not say which one. That person declined medical treatment, police said.

Distracted driver does not stop in time; cars collide: One car was severely damaged when it rammed the back of another car yesterday evening, State College police said.
Douglas Stauffer of Fleming was traveling eastbound in the left-hand lane on the 1900 block of East College Avenue when he approached a vehicle driven by Daryl Judy, RD 2 Bellefonte. Judy was stopped at a red light.
Stauffer said he began to slow down as he approached Judy, but was momentarily distracted, resulting in the collision, police said.

Burglary: A mountain bike, valued at $500, was taken sometime between March 15 and March 19 from Pi Kappa Alpha, 417 E. Prospect Ave., State College police said. The bike belonged to Joseph Renda, same address.
Police said Renda, a member of the fraternity, stored the bike in the basement. Police said a broken basement window was found.

Theft: Three microwaves, of unknown value, were taken from Fiorie Construction, 126 High St., sometime between March 16 and March 20, State College police said. No other details were available.

Theft: Four textbooks, valued at $206, were taken from the University Book Centre, 206 E. College Ave., at 4:18 p.m. Monday, State College police said.

Theft: A $200 Head tennis racket owned by Hillary Rosenberg, 507 Curtin Hall, was reported taken from the weight room of the Intramural Building between 3:17 and 3:35 Tuesday afternoon, University police said.
