Honest ticket

The USG election is about to pounce on us, this means tis the season to lie, cheat and steal. Being an insider, I know the truths about the claims; this is the ugliest election I have seen in the past four years, right up there with the Bush campaign.

I have heard students trying to take credit for accomplishments that President Althaus has done. I have listened to candidates lie about their accomplishments and lead students to believe they sat on committees and performed great feats.

Through all this there is one ticket I believe will truly represent the students and be honest: J.P. Muir and Sue Williams. This man and woman claim, and will restore the student voice.

J.P. and Sue have from the beginning had the jump on the other candidates on such issues as fighting for a full-time gynecologist; they are already working with the Academic Assembly on issues and on the course selector guide.

Campus safety has always been an issue with J.P. and Sue. J.P. was a member of the Department of Safety when the department was first started. Sue worked on this issue and many others while on the Residence Hall Advisory Board.

Every other candidate laughed at this innovative ticket and claimed that the club and varsity sports issue was absurd, however now we realize that in fact this is an issue that needs attention. We find now that the women's basketball team is simply being discriminated against.

J.P. and Sue have grabbed the issues first, they have given solutions to problems and as illustrated on their platform, are thinking of all students. They are restoring the student voice.
