By The Council of Commonwealth Student Governments has endorsed J.P. Muir and Sue Williams for the Undergraduate Student Government presidential/vice presidential ticket this year.
"In our past history we have not usually come out and endorsed a president or vice president," said P.J. Sternberg, coordinator for CCSG. "We feel our candidates will be out there working for Commonwealth campuses."
Sternberg added that Muir and Williams are the only candidates who attended a council meeting and addressed their concerns.
"We feel J.P. and Sue are knowledgeable of concerns of Commonwealth campus students," Sternberg said.
Sternberg added that Muir and Williams will be better able to work well with CCSG since CCSG is moving into the USG office.
"J.P. and Sue can work with the next coordinator and vice coordinator of CCSG closely and get changes made and accomplishments done," he said.
Sternberg said CCSG decided on its endorsement by sending the candidate's platforms to each of the Student Government Association Presidents and then endorsing a candidate based on their responses.
"I feel they have a good platform. All the things they are saying they can do," said Jerry Martz, CCSG's liaison to the Undergraduate Student Advisory Board.
