Ritenour doing well

Why is everyone so terrified of Ritenour Health Center? There are many excellent programs and services available to students through Ritenour.

Yes, we've all heard a horror story or two about what "goes on" there, but I would hope that as supposedly intelligent college students we could discern between facts and nasty rumors.

The truth is that the health center houses a hardworking staff that does its best to accommodate students just as any medical facility elsewhere would. In addition to offering every sort of medical care there are wonderful programs that provide information, help and support for students.

These programs include the Student Health Resource Center, the Student Health Advisory Board, the Sexual Health Awareness Resource Program, the Nutrition Peer Education Program and the Drug Education Program for Total Health. Not only do these services provide support for students but they are also kept organized by student volunteers.

These volunteers get great experience and responsibility from the work they do. With all of these helpful services and opportunities that Ritenour Health Center offers to better the lives, health, and education of students, why do we continue to spread the fear of Ritenour?

It seems to me that it should be praised rather than put down.
