Driver swerves into lane, causes two-car accident: No injuries were reported after a two-car collision on Bear Meadows Road yesterday afternoon, State College Bureau of Police Services said.
Peter Gearing, 29, of Bernville, was traveling southbound on Bear Meadows Road when his car was hit head-on by a car driven by Richard P. Robson, 18, of Spring Mills, police said. Gearing told police that Robson swerved into the other lane. Police said Gearing slowed down and attempted to drive to the shoulder to avoid the oncoming car.
The front end of Robson's car was severely damaged, and the car had to be towed from the scene, police said.

Theft: An $1,800 Apple MacIntosh SE computer was reported taken from the Findlay Computer Lab sometime between Thursday and Sunday, University police said. The lab was open overnight twice during that period, police said.

Theft: A JVC VHS camcorder valued at $1,200 was reported taken from 306 Tyson sometime between March 7 and March 12, University police said. There were no signs of forced entry into the room.

Theft: A Merlin telephone valued at $368 was reported taken from room 113A South Henderson Building sometime between 7:30 a.m. and noon Tuesday, University police said. The telephone cannot be used on ordinary telephone lines, police said.

Theft: Fifteen wall clocks were reported taken from 4 McAllister Building sometime between Jan. 30 and Jan. 31, University police said. The clocks are valued at $216.

Theft: A brown leather wallet, containing more than $100 in cash and several credit cards, owned by Steven Boyer, 458 E. College Ave., was reported taken from his residence sometime Tuesday, State College police said.
Police said there was no evidence of forced entry.

Theft: More than $100 was reported taken from an office at the State College Elks Country Club in Boalsburg sometime between 3 Tuesday afternoon and 8:30 yesterday morning,State College police.
Police said the money, in checks and cash, was locked in an office. Police found no signs of forced entry into the office.
