Police Log

  • Police locate student prank 911 caller wanting pizza: A University student was cited for harassment and two others were cited for liquor law violations yesterday morning after police traced a prank call on the 911 emergency line, University Police Services said.

    Police said they received the prank call at 12:27 yesterday morning. The caller said, "I want some pizza," and hung up, police said. Police traced the call and went to the dorm room in Tener Hall.

    Upon arrival, police found two occupants in possession of alcoholic beverages, police said. They were under 21 and were cited, police said, but would not release their names. The prank caller admitted making the call to police and also was cited, police said.

  • Criminal Mischief: Someone spray-painted "fear and loathing" in 12-inch black capital letters on the south wall of East Pattee sometime between 2:20 Wednesday afternoon and 7:10 yesterday morning, University police said. No damage estimate was available.

  • Harassment: A non-University student was cited for harassment and criminal trespassing after repeatedly calling a Brumbaugh Hall resident from the lobby, University police said.

    The man was taken to the police station, cited and released, police said.

  • Theft: Two speakers valued at $672 were taken from Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity, 328 E. Fairmount Ave., sometime between March 1 and March 3, State College Bureau of Police Services said.

  • Theft: A Jamis bike, valued at $550, was taken from the foyer of Acacia fraternity, 234 Locust Lane, sometime between Feb. 23 and March 3, State College police said. The bike belonged to Donald Derocher, Ewing Hall.
