Letter to the Editor
Lust is natural

Excuse me, Mr. (Rim), I disagree with you. Those "endless amounts of fantasies" dancing in your head (letter to the editor, Feb. 21), I think, would be equally likely to occur under circumstances where these rockin' tunes weren't being recorded in your subconscious mind.

I greatly appreciate your honesty in sharing your difficulties with us. And I, for one, understand your feelings.

Consequently, it's important for you to know that the emotion you had is commonly known as LUST.

Whether or not lust is a problem is entirely for you to decide. To reciprocate your honesty, allow me to say that I, too, occasionally feel lust.

Nay frequently! But I recognize it as a normal physiological and psychological reaction to my observation of women I find attractive.

I might be concerned if I felt at all compelled to act inappropriately on this feeling, but the feeling alone is totally harmless. In this regard I feel I can speak for the overwhelming majority of my peers.

So my point is: it ain't the tunes, dude. It's your body and mind working naturally as it was created.

Relax, Ed. Being as conscientious as you are of your feelings, I'm sure you won't get carried away.
